The Barretts | Indianapolis Indiana, Family Photographer

So, i don’t know where to begin with this post! This was probably one of the BEST family portrait sessions i ‘ve done so far! Last month i traveled to Indianapolis for a few days and met there with the amazing Sarah from Sarah-Beth Photography and her stylist Heather. Sarah is probably the Dalai Lama of Family Photography and working with her was not only fun but also very educational for me! The road trip pretty much took the life out of me after 13 hours of driving all night so the first day we just met for dinner at this awesome Spanish restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, called BARcelona Tapas to go through the details of next day’s family session and of course to have a fun conversation over a few glasses of Sangria and a really tasty dish of Calamari!

The next day we went to a GREAT private property and met with one of the most amazing families i have ever worked with! Erin, who is a talented typographer over at For The Love of Letters and Dutch, who is a firefighter in Indiana, along with their two great kids Finn and Liv were nothing less than amazing and really made us feel like home! There’s something about the people of Indy that feels like it’s their mission to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. In Greece we call this “Philoxenia”, which literally translates to “Friend of Strangers” and it’s considered to be the highest form of hospitality!

This was a trip and a family photo session that i will remember for years, as well as all the awesome people that i met there!
